Audition

WAUSAU COMMUNITY THEATRE proudly presents
THE PULITZER PRIZE WINNING MUSICAL SENSATION
A CHORUS LINE, the story of an audition

In the early 70s Choreographer and Director Michael Bennet started holding all night sessions with many of Broadways dancers to talk about their lives, their careers and how they felt about their job.  These sessions were taped and eventually were workshopped at the Public Theatre in NYC.  In 1975 A CHORUS LINE opened to amazing reviews and became Broadway history when it moved to the Schubert Theater and ran for about 16 years.

We are looking for 20 actors, dancers and singers to perform this classic musical.  These 20 form the truest ensemble ever being that ALL of them must sing dance and act!!!!

Auditions will be held
March 31 at 1:00pm
April 7 at 1:00pm

Directed by Larry Kirchgaessner
Musical Direction by Donna Petree
Choreography by Deb Clarke

We are all very excited to be doing this show and promise you a challenging and exciting experience!!!!
Don’t confuse the movie A CHORUS LINE for the play which is vastly different in style and even message and focus.

SO MARK YOUR CALENDARS PLEASE AND COME TO AUDITIONS!!!
We encourage college students to audition hence the Saturday auditions.
Show dates are: June 21 through 24 at the Grand Theater in Wausau.
